Good Product Good Tech Support! November 26, 2008 I bought this item for my 2004 Jeep and was worried because I have very little electrical experience and it seemed like a monster job. Since my car was a newer one, it need part 791, a Universal Bypass Module which I also purchased. br /Upon opening the boxes I saw a DVD instructional video, instruction and use manuals; and bundles and bundles of different colored wires; which terrified me enough to leave the whole thing alone for about a month before I got the courage to mess with it. br /So yesterday, I sat down with the DVD, wire diagram for my car from their website, manuals and a piece of paper. I labeled all of the ports on the module, and all the wire harnesses; not that bad. I watched the video and wrote down step by step wire by wire what to connect to what. br /I went out, on a very cold day, I got started about 4:30 and by 6:00 I was more than half-way done with only 1 call to the excellent tech support who knew exactly what I wanted to know. The next day, I went out, and spent another 1.5 hours and with one minor glitch and one more call to tech support everything was done. System works great! I tested it a few times and it worked great. br /Don't let it scare you, it is easier than it looks, be patient and follow the instructions. The warranty and tech support are excellent.
Great Product, Great Service June 13, 2008 Received product in less than 3 days, it has everything that was advertised. I had this product installed the next week and it works great, only thing is that maybe 1 out of every 8 times the remote looses range even when very close to the car and I have to attempt to remote start it 2 or 3 times before it goes, but other than that, no problems.
Works as Advertised January 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Product works as adversited, I've had it for two years now, never had a problem. Instalation if a different beast: Due to the extensive amount of features, there are a lot of wires to be hooked up, all of which are outside plain view, so you will have to do some disaseembling of the interior of your car (a few plastic parts) and be able to identify which wires are the ones you need (ignition, crank, dome light, brake light, e-brake, ...). So if you're fine with that, you will enjoy the benefits of this product (just make sure you set plenty of time to install it). Some electronics knowledge makes things easier but is not required (as long as you follow the directions exactly).
Great product for the price - Worthless tech support December 1, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had the unit for over 2 years now and it works great! I use it every day in the winter and often in the summer. It was tricky to install but I have a manual transmission so there were additional steps that I had to do to get it to work. It honestly took me 2 weeks before I got it all hooked up and figured out. The tech support is terrible and never were able to help me with any installation questions so you better be good with electronics and good at troubleshooting problems if you want to attempt to install this yourself. I saved $400 in installation costs by doing it myself and I learned about my cars electrical system while doing it so it was defenitly worth it. It has tons of features and has a long range which is the reason I got it.
Non-existent tech support August 3, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this product a little over a year ago and it worked fine until about 5 months ago. The transmitter will not start the vehicle and only unlocks the doors after about 5 trys. I emailed their support several times for help but never received a response. I even called and got nowhere just like the other reviewer. Stay away from this product, you get what you pay for!
