This is the first pre-shave oil I've purchased. I'm using it in combination with rather than instead of shave cream. So I put some drops in my palm and started to massage it into my warm wet face... No tingles but, a cooling effect. I decided to lather up my face again with both this and cream to prepare for the against the grain pass of my blade. Razor burn on my neck which I never get appeared. It must be from the blade being to aggressive, but this product won't stop the razor burn. It just feels good on the face. And for not using an aftershave... forget that idea, my face was dry as usual.

If you have a problem with getting razor burn and/or general skin irritation when you shave, I highly recommend this product!br /br /The first reviewer is correct that your face tingles, and it only takes a few drops. Also, I may disagree with his "not being able to see the shave lines" on your face. I just look at the hair not shaven off. I also feel the lines with my free hand. That way, you can go back and get the rest.br /br /I use a twin bladed razor, as well. I'm not into the 4, 5, 6... 10+ bladed razors. To me, they are just a fad. Besides, a double bladed one - for me - shaves me closer and better than a multi-bladed razor.br /br /So, if you are skeptical, and don't feel you want to spend this kind of money, another thing to keep in mind that one bottle lasts me 6-8 MONTHS! That is pretty cheap compared to other facial lubricating products.

When the hair stylest that I bought this from said that you only used 3-4 drops of oil for my whole face and that it would give me a the best shave I have ever had I was a bit skeptical. However, she was dead on. This product is fantastic. After washing your face with hot water, you put 4 drops in your hand, and use 2 fingers to massage it in in. After waiting about 20 seconds your face will start to tingle. Then, just shave with your razor. It does take some getting used to not being able to clearly see the shave lines like you would with regular shaving cream, but it does not take long getting used to. In addition, it leaves your face moisterized with no need for aftershave lotion. I get much less razor burn with this product and although it is a oil product, no problems with breakouts. Highly recommend.
