good bang for your buck November 20, 2008
not the most outstanding pc but worth every penny... the only issues i have are with vista.. not with the actual pc.. i had a small issue with windows loading for the first time, but the HP support that came with it was more helpful than i expected.. they walked me through some troubleshooting which included unplugging the ram card but it was easier than i thought.. i was up and running within an hour... all in all its the best pc i have used which was under $400

Bought this for my daughter and it is great it works fast and we hooked it to the internet and she was off and running. We did get the exter memory card and put it in before we started so it worked great from the start and is still going strong!
Good bang for the buck October 30, 2008
Low cost decent computer. Not for gaming but if you just need a computer for surfing, emailing, and other basics, this is one darn good deal. I give it 4 stars because it came with only 1 gig of RAM and because I hate Vista.

This is a great deal for anyone on a budget. While the AMD Athlon doesn't have the performance of an intel, it doesn't carry the bloated price tag of an intel either.br /The 1024MB of RAM is upgradable to 4gbs, so there is plenty of room to build up as you go along.br /The 160GB hard drive may not be large enough for users who have lots of mp3s, but it is plenty of space for the casual users.br /The only complaints I have about it are: br /br /1. Windows Vista. If you're new to windows vista (like me) then you'll either have to give yourself plenty of time to acclimate to the new OS, or down grade to another version. Either way it's still a windows. :(br /br /2. Unrelated to the product its self. Shipping and delivery. I chose 'next day delivery' with my order...BIG mistake. This makes the second time in a row I've had to call Amazon customer service about an order being late/not showing up at all.

I bought this PC for a friend based on name brand and low price. While not an Intel CPU and only having 1 gig of RAM, this box is perfect for a budget user who want access to the Internet primarily for Email and browsing. It will get the job done. I added another Gig of RAM to help windoZe Vista to run faster/smoother, ran the Decrapifier to rid it of the commercial bloated software that is crammed into these name brand computers now a days, added a firewall and off it went. Great box for a spare also.
