I was looking for a machine to record my favorite radio broadcasts and also play my old cassette tape albums. This recorder/player does the job nicely. I wish it had a built-in clock to set unattended recording like a VCR.
 Item came defective and had to be returned December 30, 2007

Based on the recommendation of a professional who works with audio equipment, I went ahead and purchased this product. However, it had arrived completely defective, with multiple serious problems, and had to be returned for a full refund. I bought a Denon tape deck from a local merchant, which has performed excellently.
