Disappointed November 19, 2008 I was looking forward to this game because I love Jillian Michaels. I would love to have her as my trainer. The game is disappointing. The graphics are not great and mine got stuck in the middle of a workout and it took forever to get it unstuck. I was hoping for something like the Wii fit workouts and it really let me down. The aerobic workout on the Fit are much more fun.
So Disappointed With This November 19, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I ordered this back in October before it came out. I was so excited when I got it. I thought it would take my Wii Fit workouts to the next level. All it has done in the past few weeks is frustrate me. The controls are not intuitive...and I honestly have yet to feel like I've gotten a good workout from this. The running is a joke... the boxing is horrible. It seems like nothing works as it should. I really wish I had waited to order this until I had seen more reviews. Very disappointed. Don't waste your money.
Could have been so much better November 19, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got this game to help try to exercise. Did not work. I burn more calories playing Wii Fit or DDR! Hard to control your avatar. Not very user friendly and the avatar itself is not fun at all. You cannot change very much. I expected alot more out of this game and was very disappointed. Canoeing is the only exercise that I can feel while playing this game. Bummer.
Better than I expected November 18, 2008 Based on other customer reviews, I was afraid to try Fitness Ultimatum, but I was pleasantly surprised. When I purchased this game I was hoping to get something that provided a better workout than WiiFit, and Fitness Ultimatum delivered. It was nice to not have to stop and select another workout every 2-3 minutes like with WiiFit. On the downside, Fitness Ultimatum is not as entertaining as WiiFit. There is a lot of "running" involved in each workout. It can get a little tedious, but it is supposed to be a workout, and I suppose the running segments are the best way to keep the heart rate up. However, if you hate running on WiiFit, you probably want to avoid this game. A Fitness Ultimatum workout progresses like this - running, activity, running, activity, running. The number of activities depends on how long of a segment you choose. The non-running activities are fun and a nice break from all the running. These include monkey bars, boxing, grenade-throwing, etc. This game is not for everyone, but I'm satisfied so far.
HORRIBLE! A Complete Waste of Money! November 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This has got to be the worst fitness program I've ever invested in. I love the Jillian Michaels DVDs, love to watch her on the show, and also love Wii Fit. What a great combo, eh? NOT! I have no idea what role JM plays in this other than to sit behind a desk and tell you a new tip is available. I hope she didn't have much input!br /br /1. No matter how fast you move from side to side (running) the avatar continues to walk through the woods. As said in other reviews, there is no change of scenery and it's boooooorrrrrriiiiing! br /2. There is virtually no instruction on how to move your avatar. For example, it took us forever to figure out the tire run.br /3. Also mentioned in several other reviews, the response time was unacceptable. It totally took me off my stride.br /4. Designing the avatar is a waste of time. I finally just gave up and went with whatever the screen had on it.br /br /All in all, a VERY disappointing game. These two powerhouses (JM Nintendo) could have done much, much better. I won't be doing anymore pre-orders either!br /
